Walter Dahl
Walter R. Dahl, the founding principal of Dahl Law, earned his J.D. degree from UCLA School of Law, where he was a member of the UCLA Law Review. He holds a B.A. degree from University of the Pacific. From 1998 through 2020, Walter was an Adjunct Professor at Pacific McGeorge School of Law, teaching Bankruptcy, Secured Personal Property Transactions, and Sales & Leases of Goods.
Walter has extensive experience in bankruptcy, business reorganization, real estate, secured transactions and commercial law matters, and since 1981 has represented thousands of individuals and entities in various capacities under Chapters 7, 9, 11, 12 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code. He is admitted to practice in all federal courts in California, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Walter holds an “AV” rating from Martindale, the national legal directory.
Walter currently serves a Subchapter V Chapter 11 Trustee in small business reorganizations in the Eastern District of California. He is an Associate Editor of the American Bankruptcy Trustee Journal, a Director of the Sacramento Valley Bankruptcy Forum, and a Mediator for the Eastern District’s Bankruptcy Dispute Resolution Program.
